      Data Loss & Recovery

 

Our top priority at Tidy Health is protecting your data. That is why we do not use third-party cloud servers which are vulnerable to hacking and data breaches. All your info is stored locally on each device and not accessible other than through the app. This means that if your device is lost or stolen, your data may be gone if proper precautions are not taken.

 

You can safeguard your data by backing up using any service of choice or an external hard drive. 

 

Tidy app also offers multiple ways to backup to your own iCloud Drive so you can use it on all your devices within the Apple ecosystem. You can also share your Tidy with others not on your iCloud Drive by exporting a copy to be uploaded and then imported by someone else. You can also toggle on daily Automatic Backups by going to Settings in the Help tab.

 

Despite this, sometimes users experience data loss and failure to restore. This can be caused by several factors outside our control, such as iCloud issues, problematic iOS updates, or poor internet connectivity.  If you remove Tidy app without a recent backup, then local data can also be lost. 

 

To recover lost data, try these steps:

  1. Reboot your device.

  2. Re-install Tidy app

  3. Check status of iCloud storage limits

  4. Check Auto-Backup for most recent date

  5. Browse in Apple’s Files App for latest backup file

  6. Go to Help tab > Restore Any Saved Backup

  7. Connect External Hard Drive > restore older version

  8. Open Time Machine > restore older version 

  9. Open icloud.com > restore older version
